Due to recent illness, Impress Executive Chairman Eddie Smith has elected to temporarily step down from his position as Executive Chairman of Impress Energy Limited.

 

Mr Smith has appointed Impress’ Exploration Manager, Greg Smith as alternate director.  The Board has subsequently appointed Mr Greg Smith as Acting Chief Executive Officer.

 

Greg Smith is a petroleum geologist with over thirty four years of international and Australian experience in the petroleum exploration and development industry including senior management positions with companies such as Santos Limited and Arc Energy where he gained experience in all the technical and commercial aspects of the petroleum business. Greg has been providing commercial and technical advice to Impress since the end of 2005. In addition to undertaking the Chief Executive’s responsibilities, Greg will continue to provide technical support, particularly with respect to the interpretation of the recently acquired 3D seismic survey in the Growler Field area and the selection of drilling targets for the subsequent drilling campaign later in the year.
