Non - Executive Director

Mr Longden was appointed as a Non-Executive Director on 7 April 2008.  Mr Longden has had 20 years experience in the commercial and technical aspects of the resources industry, primarily oil and gas, both in Australia and overseas in Asia, the Middle East and Europe.  He graduated from the University of Western Australia with a BE (Hons) in 1987 and has subsequently completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

 

He brings extensive development experience from his participation in both technical and project management teams, having been involved in the evaluation and execution of oil and gas developments from concept through to ongoing operation.  This experience has included a significant number of marginal onshore and offshore gas fields.

 

Project roles included taking projects from end of concept screening through FEED, preparing tender packages, coordination of project activities, such as reservoir engineering, drilling and completions, statutory project approvals, facilities engineering, scheduling, planning, and budget control through to the final completion of projects.
