Impress Energy Limited has a consolidated 40% interest in four permits (PEL 87, PEL 104, PEL 111 & PEL 424) and two production licences (PPL 213 and PPL 214) by way of wholly owned subsidiaries Impress (Cooper Basin) Pty Ltd and Springfield Oil and Gas Pty Ltd covering over 14,000 square kilometres of the prospective Cooper and Eromanga Basins.
The permits are operated by Victoria Petroleum NL (Victoria by way of wholly owned subsidiary Victoria Oil Exploration (1977) Pty Ltd on behalf of a Joint Venture comprising Impress, Victoria, and Roma Petroleum NL (Roma) by way of wholly owned subsidiary Permian Oil Pty Ltd.
The permits are prospective for oil and gas and host the Mirage and Ventura producing oil fields, the Growler and Wirraway oil discoveries and a comprehensive portfolio of prospects and leads covering the whole spectrum of exploration targets ranging from low risk/moderate reward to lightly explored/high reward.
Work on seismic reprocessing, prospects and leads mapping has been ongoing. Drilling on the Western Margin Oil Fairway in PEL 104 and PEL 111, was undertaken with successful discoveries at Growler-1 and Wirraway-1. Growler-2 was a successful appraisal of the Growler Oil Field.
